Class Programming
EQI-Flo Total Body Philosophy
While all EQI-Flo classes are total body, each of the four preprogrammed classes put extra emphasis on the body area in the class title.
Total Body Core
This class strengthens the trunk, all abdominal muscle groups, the largest leg and hip muscles, and especially the back.
Total Body Lower: V1 Foundational Strength
This class will help your members build the foundational strength in their lower body and prepare them for the more challenging single leg strength flows found in Total Lower Body – V2 Single Leg Strength.
Total Body Lower: V2 Single Leg Strength
This lower body class includes the addition of several single leg strengthening and balance movements.
Total Body Upper
Including this class in their weekly rotation will help your members achieve balanced whole-body, muscular development.
EQI-Flo Programming Philosophy
Like all well-designed fitness programs, there is logic and consistency to the ordering of the flows within the EQI-Flo practice.
Warm-up Flow
All sessions begin with a 10-minute mobility-focused warm-up and muscle activation routine.
Standing Flows
In EQI-Flo, as our brand name implies, our classes are made up of a collection or sequence of flows.
Cooldown
All sessions conclude with a 3-minute cooldown including a savasana-like DeNaLiS breath flow.
Overview & Terminology
Class or Program
The target class length for these preset classes is 60 minutes. The time can be modified to fit your studio’s or your members’ needs.
Equipment Recommendations
Most of the flows in this practice can be performed with bodyweight only. A few require, or can be more effective, with a resistance band placed around your thighs or ankles. Several other flows require a yoga strap.
EQI-Flo – More than Strength: Balance & Mobility
The single leg balancing segment of all these flows can be modified as needed by the instructor and member at any time.
